"Investigate" Art & Play Guide
Join us as we explore and investigate materials, ideas, and the natural world. In this guide, we celebrate Mother Earth and focus our art and play invitations on turning trash into treasure! From collage to construction, painting to poking, measuring to spinning, each experience honors the way children think and learn, with a big emphasis on caring for our planet and each other.
Our guides blur the line between art and play. They are inclusive and honor each child’s individuality and way of thinking and working. They are more than a collection of art ideas; they are the key to a cohesive, child-centered, manageable creative practice for your classroom or any space where children gather, explore, learn, and grow.
Our guides are 25 pages and include:
20 creative invitations using everyday, low-prep materials that are either recycled, collected in nature, or already on hand
2 extended art projects that can be worked on over a longer period of time to build creative confidence, either collaboratively or individually in the classroom
