I want children to develop independence with art materials without me directing every step.
Set It Up and See What Happens: Our foundational approach begins by clearly defining the difference between step-by-step crafts and process art. Learn why agency, choice, and pacing are so crucial for children’s cognitive, creative, and social-emotional development, and how to curate materials and environments with intention.
I want my classroom to feel calm, welcoming, and inspiring for the children and for me.
Design for Discovery: Discover how thoughtful environments communicate safety, creativity, and possibility. And learn our framework for reimagining any space using simple, low-cost materials and intentional curation and organization.
I want children to see endless possibilities in ordinary materials so I can use what I have to nurture a creative classroom.
Back to Basics: Learn how everyday materials become rich tools for play, problem-solving, and expression. In this workshop, we will also introduce you to the idea of “HOW not WHAT” and share powerful material pairings and playful sourcing strategies that keep experiences feeling fresh and engaging.

Digging Deeper: In this workshop, you’ll learn how to identify meaningful lenses for observing children’s work, reflect on what matters most in your setting, and make learning visible to children, families, and colleagues.

What Brings You Joy? Through reflection, conversation, and playful exploration, you’ll consider what matters most in your practice and how to create conditions that feel joyful, grounded, and sustainable. This workshop supports educators in finding their own creative flow, trusting children more deeply, and remembering why this work matters, especially in challenging times.
I want creativity to become possible every day during the playtime we already have, not another thing to plan.
Play Doesn’t Have to Be Perfect: Build simple systems that make creative play manageable, joyful, and sustainable. We will offer practical strategies, realistic ideas, and reassurance that although play can be imperfect, busy, messy, and sometimes chaotic, children need this time to rehearse the work of being human.
I want to stay true to my values while still meeting the expectations of families and administrators.
Beyond Cute: Move from defending your approach to living it with confidence. In this workshop, we’ll share five core practices for prioritizing creativity while responding thoughtfully to outside pressures. Then we’ll dig into how to share and tell the story of learning that unfolds during process art and creative play, and how to display artifacts of children’s work in ways that spark curiosity and invite conversation.

The Art of Guiding: Learn what to say (and not say) to nurture confidence, resilience, and creative independence. Through real examples and small, actionable shifts, this workshop supports educators and caregivers in showing up with confidence, presence, and trust so children feel capable, resilient, and supported as they create.
